Activity #1: Bug Masks That Can’t Be Beat

Bug mask insect activity

Download and print any of the three masks (skip down to masks) in either black & white or color. Encourage children to make their masks unique, using things around like glitter, glue, paint, yarn, rubber bands and pipe cleaners.

You can also print out EXTRAordinary Bug Parts (skip down to parts) for bug-errific features like antennae, ears, eyelashes, sunglasses and tattoos.

Activity #2: Critter Coloring Sheets

Free simple bug activities: Coloring sheetsColoring Sheets 2

Our two collections of coloring sheets let children decide which critter they’d like to spiff up. Then you can proudly display their masterpieces!

Activity #3: Ant Maze

Ant Maze

The argentine ant has found her way back to the anthill, but needs help getting to her chamber. She can go under a tunnel but not through a wall. Are your students up to the challenge? Pencils are highly recommended, since even adults rarely solve a maze on their first try!
